Rick Connelly

In 1987 Rick Connelly’s hobby for special make-up effects soon became his passion. Rick Connelly’s professional career as a Special Make-up Effects Artist started in 1991 working for the Australian ABC and on various television commercials. Since then Rick Connelly has had the opportunity to work on many Australian and International film and television productions such as - Dark City, Chopper, Queen of the Damned, The Matrix, Reloaded and Revolutions - Just to name a few!

The Australian Society of Make-up Artists (ASMA) Awards for Excellence has acknowledged Rick Connelly, his work on Chopper (2001 awards) and Queen of the Damned (2002 awards).

In 1992 Rick Connelly’s new passion for sharing industry knowledge began, and since then many of Sydney’s Make-up Colleges have “sort after” Rick Connelly’s vast experience in the areas of special make-up effects as a guest lecturer, including the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA).
